Where do I start...beginning to end one of the best and most memorable hotel experiences i have had to date! I wanted to escape with my wife for one night to celebrate our 17th anniversary. I booked very last minute, over the phone and got exactly what I wanted. Arrival was lovely, reception charming with a choice of a refreshing drink. Our room was stunning. Front line beach, large terrace, huge bed, and I mean huge, covered in rose petals even. The hotel is much more like a resort. Its huge and offers endless amenities to cater for anyones taste really. Although almost fully booked, at no point did it feel crowded. After checking our room we headed out for a beach walk and lunch. On our way back we stopped at the hotels Serena Beach Club for a few drinks which was lovely. Upon entering our room we discovered a chilled bottle of bubbly and chocolates as well strawberries...what a lovely surprise. Having checked the menu at Serena earlier we decided to dine there. Amazing food, incredible service but the best part was the live sining by Erika!! WOW what a talent. I have rarely encountered such a versatile artist. From Adele, so Amy Whinehouse to Rhianna and Alicia Keys...absolutely incredible. Last but not least...breakfast! I have stayed in 5 start accommodation around the globe but none compared to this breakfast experience. There was nothing one could think of that they didnt serve...even a pastry chef was onsite making fresh pastries all morning. The best part of it all, was the live piano! Not seen that before. I want to the thank the team and staff for making this such a memorable stay, we will be back for sure...and this time for longer!!

Hipotels Barrosa Palace & Spa: A 5-Star Letdown with Hidden Costs The Hipotels Barrosa Palace & Spa has the potential to be a luxurious escape, boasting a stunning location and beautiful facilities. However, my recent stay fell short of a true 5-star experience due to a few concerning practices. Communication Breakdown: The biggest hurdle was the language barrier. Staff with limited English made communication challenging. After booking, I received messages claiming a credit card issue. Despite using multiple valid cards, all attempts resulted in "failed card" notifications. Only after hours of unanswered calls did I learn about difficulties processing international payments. An online bank transfer followed, but confirmation remained elusive. Upon arrival, incredibly, my booking status still showed an "invalid credit card" despite their acknowledgement of the payment. Sunbed Surprise: A 5-Star Sting The most disappointing aspect was the outrageous charge for sunbeds. In a 5-star establishment, sunbeds are typically complimentary, fostering a sense of welcome and inclusivity for guests who have already paid a premium for their stay. Charging a whopping 70 EUR per day for a family of three to use sunbeds is unacceptable at this level of hospitality. It creates a feeling of being nickeled and dimed, rather than a valued guest. Hidden Fees Add Up: An additional 15 EUR daily parking charge felt excessive, especially considering the empty car park. These unexpected fees detracted from the overall experience. A Stressful, Not Restful, Retreat The communication issues and the constant feeling of being charged extra created unnecessary stress throughout a vacation meant for relaxation. While the location and facilities have potential, the overall experience felt more like a budget stay with a luxury price tag. A Call for Transparency and Inclusivity: I urge the Hipotels Barrosa Palace & Spa to reconsider their approach. Streamlining communication channels, eliminating sunbed charges, and potentially re-evaluating parking fees would demonstrate a commitment to true 5-star hospitality. Guests deserve transparency and a feeling of being welcomed, not pressured to pay extra for basic amenities. By taking these steps, the Hipotels Barrosa Palace & Spa can truly live up to the luxurious experience it promises.

lovely hotel with beautiful rooms, facilities such as spa, swimming pool location and especially restaurant with top breakfast and dinner. friendly people where service is number one. enjoyed the hotel, which provided great holiday vibes on a beautiful beach with wonderful weather. Location on the beach is top. The city itself is not much fun. a car helps to Cadiz or the nicer Connil or for a long drive to Seville. stay here for a beach relaxing holiday

This hotel is superb! Beautiful, spotlessly clean with excellent facilities. The staff are friendly and efficient. Easy access to the beach for swimming and hearty walks. It was very windy when we visited but this was a bonus as everything felt fresh - even in 30degrees. We enjoyed the gym, spa and pool. Breakfast is amazing. We hired a car so it was easy to visit Vejay, Medina Solina, Barbate, Cadiz and Jerez. Might have been a bit tricky to get to these places otherwise. The room was spectacular, with an enormous balcony to enjoy sunrises and sunsets! Beds were comfortable and the aircon and ceiling fan worked well to keep the room cool at night. After a week here, we both felt relaxed and re-energised.

Attention of staff was good, the restaurant food was excellent and spa is small but has all uou need.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything is clean and tidy. The staff was great and friendly. We didn't have dinner or lunch in the hotel. But if that is half as great as the breakfast it must also be excellent. We booked 2 rooms but because they were both at the other site of the hotel we got an upgrade after the first night and got 2 rooms with swim-up pool. Only downside is that there is not much to do in the direct surroundings. But when you rent a car or bike that should not be a big issue and can of course not be blamed on the hotel. Upside is that there are only a few foreign tourists and there's no mass tourism.

This is not the first time I stayed at this hotel. I keep coming back mostly because how everything is so smooth at this hotel and how friendly and professional is the staff. This hotel is simply a great place to be and to spend a few days, no matter how you like to spend your time. The hotel and the staff have a style that is likely to appeal to a wide range of customers, so you will never feel out of place. I think the average price is ok given the 5 stars, and the 5* are deserved even if the hotel does not have excess luxury. Besides the service, the rooms, pool, bars, restaurant and access to the beach are excellent. And then there is the incredible staff. From Elena, Roberta and Maria del Mar at the reception, to Inma and Guille at the snack-pool bar and the lobby bar, to the efficient and speedy chamber maids, and to the exceptional - the real deal - Quique at the buffett restaurant (just to name a few) there are nothing but reasons to expect great things. You will not forget their names.

Nice and cosy hotel. Clean all areas inside/outside. Organised live music in the evening and during Sunday breakfast made my stay more special. However Lobby bar's cocktails are ridiculous, and SPA zone showers zone is very old style, lockers are old, broken and small. One bench plastic or metal, grey colour(( was advised where to take the towels - going there and it's closed: coming back to reception. Going in the evening to reception (as the point is closed again), they said to return in the point next day. Going next day there - the point is closed even on working hours.... going to reception. To return the towels - yes, the point is closed again and should go back to th reception. Annoying situation.
